RAPA Chartered Architects is proud to be named a finalist in the Creative Colour Awards 2025 by Nippon Paint, in the Public Space category for the “New Children’s Ward Facility” at Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama, Sri Lanka, presented on June 20, 2025, in Tokyo, Japan.

RAPA Chartered Architects is delighted to have earned the Most Creative Interior Designer – 2023 title at the Global Architect Builder Awards (GABA) 2023 for its “Luxury Private Guest Lounge & Bar” project in Nawala, Sri Lanka. The distinguished event was held on April 9, 2023, in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Cafe UFO design project was honored with the title of Most Creative Interior Designer of the Year Sri Lanka at the Global Architect and Builders Awards (GABA) 2020, held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Deira, Dubai.

RAPA received a Jury Mention for the project Cafe UFO, Ella at the International Contextual Architecture Awards in memory of Turgut Cansever. The award ceremony and exhibition were held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at the Kepez Municipality Erdem Bayazıt Congress Hall in Antalya, Turkey.

RAPA was honored with the “31st JK-AYA Foreign Countries Architect of the Year Award” for the Cafe UFO project in Ella, Sri Lanka. The award ceremony took place on September 17 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Dehradun, India.

RAPA was shortlisted in the Hotel category at the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects (SLIA) Annual Design & Colour Awards 2020, in recognition of the Hotel SICO–Negombo project.

RAPA was shortlisted for an Honorable Mention for the project Cafe UFO, Ella at the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects (SLIA) Annual Design & Color Awards 2020.

The Cafe UFO – Ella project was honored with an Honorable Mention at the 5th Triennial Geoffrey Bawa Awards for Excellence in Architecture 2019/2021, recognizing its outstanding design innovation and architectural merit.

RAPA was awarded Second Best Design Project in the Commonwealth Region at the Robert Matthew International Design Awards. The award ceremony was held on 14th August 2019 in Mombasa, Kenya.

Our award-winning project, Cafe UFO, was nominated and represented the Interior Category at the 2A Continental Architecture Awards for the Asia-Oceania region. The ceremony was held on October 18, 2019, at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain. The project was subsequently featured in 2A Magazine.
